CELEBRATION OF EXCELLENCE

Proceeds will benefit the Lafourche Education Foundation, which provides grants to Lafourche Parish public schools and educators. Grants are awarded through a competitive proposal process, represent a variety of subject areas, are standards-based and have a strong evaluation component. Since 2006, LEF has awarded close to 200 grants totaling $442,000.

In 2016, LEF was selected as the Lafourche Parish “Champion” for the Dolly Parton Imagination Library. The Imagination Library is a program that mails children a free, age-appropriate book each month from birth up until 5 years old. The only eligibility requirement is the child must be a Lafourche Parish resident. This program's mission is to foster a love of learning in children, making the experience fun and meaningful.
