Because good ideas shouldn't die on paper.

The Paul Ruth Innovation in Education Grant fuels bold, creative projects that help students grow. These grants are open to all full-time PreK–12 teachers in Lafourche Parish, as well as school clubs and club sponsors.

There is no limit to the number of applications that may be submitted from each public school within the parish.

We are looking for:

Innovation

Not just new tech, but new thinking.

Collaboration

Projects that involve coworkers, parents, or the community.

Sustainibility

Ideas that live beyond the grant.

Grant Amount

Up to $3,000 per grant

Annual Fund

$50,000 for 2025-2026 school year

Eligibility

Open to full time Lafourche Parish School District teachers, clubs and sponsors

Applications

Multiple submissions allowed per school

Every application is reviewed anonymously by a panel of community leaders and former educators. Final decisions are made by the LEF Board Grants Committee.
